Curriculum: Circuits + Crafting + Science

Transform curiosity into creation with hands-on electrical engineering and science!

The Grow 360° Circuits & Science Club is an interdisciplinary, project-based program for elementary students that transforms abstract scientific concepts into tangible, interactive builds. Instead of just reading about science in a textbook, children become creators and inventors by building their own working electronic paper circuits, spinning mechanisms, and sound-producing gadgets.

Designed to be drop-in friendly, each week features a completely self-contained, hands-on project. This allows students to join at any point and learn at their own pace without ever feeling left behind.

Course Highlights

  • Project-Based Learning: Every class centers on a physical creation—from lighting up a dinosaur’s eyes to building a spinning windmill fan.
  • 360-Degree Understanding: We connect fundamental engineering skills directly to real-world science, linking electrical paths to biology, meteorology, and physics.
  • Early Stem Confidence: By handling kid-safe components like copper tape, LEDs, and mini motors, children develop fine motor skills and creative confidence.
  • Problem-Solving & Logic: Students naturally learn the basics of troubleshooting and debugging as they test their circuits to ensure a continuous loop.

Core Concepts Covered

  • The Magic Loop: Understanding how electricity flows through a closed path and stops at a gap.
  • Direction & Polarity: Learning how to align positive and negative terminals to make components work.
  • Control Mechanisms: Building custom paper flap switches, push-buttons, and momentary breaks to control light and sound.
  • Kinetic Energy & Audio: Discovering how invisible energy converts into physical movement (spinning fans) and audible sound (buzzers).
